The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit delivers exceptional performance and reliability for your 250cc 2-cycle engine. Manufactured from certified 8620 AISI steel, these connecting rods provide superior strength. The crankpins are made from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 and case hardened to 58-62Rc for enhanced durability. Featuring the latest caged needle roller bearing designs, this kit is built for high rpm longevity. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots, minimizing bearing race distortion at high rpm. Small ends are double drilled to ensure extra lubrication and cooling for the wrist pin bearing, particularly crucial when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and smoothly blend together the rod forging's radiuses. Double honing produces an ultra-round bearing surface for unmatched reliability at high rpm. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this kit ensures seamless integration and enhanced engine performance.
