Cometic Clutch Cover Gaskets are constructed from AFM (Aluminum Foam Material), a chemically blown, compounded nitrile synthetic rubber bonded to an aluminum core. This unique construction provides exceptional strength and prevents weeping or crawling, especially in modern engine cases with limited sealing surfaces. The aluminum core enhances the gasket's structural integrity, ensuring a reliable and long-lasting seal. Installation is simplified as no sealants are required, and the AFM material's non-stick properties make future replacements quick and easy, eliminating the need for scraping. With an 85% recovery rate and excellent torque retention, this gasket maintains its performance even under high temperatures, exceeding 250°F (121°C).
