Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit features connecting rods crafted from certified 8620 AISI steel, providing superior strength and durability. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to a level of 58-62Rc for exceptional wear resistance. Designed with the latest caged needle roller bearing technology, these rods offer high RPM longevity. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPM. Small ends are double drilled to enhance lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, a critical feature for pistons with crowns positioned close to the wrist pin bearing. The connecting rods are shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and smoothly blend the rod forging's radiuses, while double honing ensures an ultra-round bearing surface for maximum reliability. This connecting rod kit is compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, and proudly made in the USA.
