Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is meticulously crafted from certified 8620 AISI steel for exceptional strength. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 and case hardened to a level of 58-62Rc. This kit features the latest in caged needle roller bearing designs, optimized for high RPM longevity. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPM. Small ends are double drilled to provide extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, a critical feature when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and smoothly blend the rod forging's radiuses. Double honing ensures an ultra-round bearing surface, enhancing reliability at high RPM. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this connecting rod kit delivers uncompromising performance.Features & highlights
