Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is constructed from certified 8620 AISI steel, providing exceptional strength and durability. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to a level of 58-62Rc, guaranteeing reliable performance under extreme conditions. Featuring the latest caged needle roller bearing designs, this kit is built for high RPM longevity. The uniquely designed big end utilizes strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPM. Small ends are double drilled to supply extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, which is especially important when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin bearing. Each connecting rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and smoothly blend together the rod forging's radiuses. Double honing ensures an ultra-round bearing surface for unmatched reliability at high RPM, meaning this connecting rod kit is the ideal solution for engine rebuilds.
