Description
The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is engineered for exceptional performance and longevity. Constructed from certified 8620 AISI steel, these connecting rods offer superior strength and resistance to deformation. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel, case hardened to 58-62Rc for ultimate durability. Featuring the latest caged needle roller bearing designs, this kit ensures high RPM longevity and reduced friction. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPM. Small ends are double drilled to provide extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, critical for pistons with crowns close to the wrist pin. Shot-peening eliminates surface stress risers, while double honing produces an ultra-round bearing surface for reliability. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this kit offers versatile installation options.
