Description

The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit is manufactured from certified 8620 AISI steel, offering exceptional strength and resistance to deformation. The crankpins are made from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 and case hardened to a level of 58-62Rc, ensuring maximum durability. Featuring the latest caged needle roller bearing designs, this connecting rod kit is engineered for high RPM longevity. The uniquely designed big end incorporates strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPM. The small ends are double drilled to provide extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, critical for pistons with crowns close to the wrist pin bearing. Each rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and smoothly blend the rod forging's radiuses, followed by double honing to produce an ultra-round bearing surface, further enhancing reliability at high RPM. Compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts, this kit offers versatility and ease of installation. All components, including the rod, crank pin, crank pin bearing, top-end bearing, and silver-coated bronze phosphor thrust washers, are made in the USA ensuring top quality.
